Vegan Restaurants In Maryland

If you eat no animal or dairy products at all, there are places in Maryland that cater to your diet, whether it is a restaurant with main dishes or a snack spot specializing in desserts and baked products. The restaurants go beyond food service with cooking classes and involvement in community causes. Add this to my Recipe Box.

The Yabba Pot

Run by a Caribbean chef named Skai, the Yabba Pot not only offers vegan dishes--ranging from veggie burgers and various salads to drinks containing raw brown sugar--but also offers cooking classes, workshops and seminars to those interested in learning about vegan and raw food cooking. There is also a DVD that showcases Skai's culinary expertise. The Yabba Pot hosts "The Art of Conversation," a spoken-word poetry showcase hosted by E the Poet MC, every Saturday night, as of December 2009.
