Outdoor Places For A Party

Hosting an outdoor party can be a rewarding and exciting experience.

Whether celebrating a birthday, an engagement or a wedding anniversary, there are plenty of ideas in terms of outdoor venues. Outdoor parties are great for the spring, summer and fall months. When the weather is nice, throwing your fiesta outdoors really adds a nice touch and allows for more guests. From beaches and parks to lakes and patios, the possibilities are endless. Does this Spark an idea?

Beaches

Beaches offer ample opportunity for a variety of activities, including beach volleyball, Frisbee and several water sports, such as jet skiing, boating and fishing, depending on the location. Some beaches have outdoor grills to make providing food easier. Research several beaches in your area that might have such amenities. Some beaches even have pavilions or some other form of shelter for your guests to sit under and enjoy the food.

Banquet Facilities

Banquet facilities offer outdoor catering, usually in the back of the banquet hall. Some banquet halls also offer several amenities when using their services that could be helpful when planning a party. For instance, some banquet halls offer disc jockey services, catering and even overnight accommodations, depending on the location. Research local banquet facilities in your area and choose one that best matches your needs for the type of party you're throwing.

Rooftop Venues

Rooftop venues make for exciting and interesting parties, especially for graduation parties, Sweet 16 parties and birthday parties. The rooftop provides relief from traditional venues and will have your guests talking about your party for months afterwards. Rooftop venues may be booked up quickly, so it's best to book in advance. New York City has several rooftop venues available for renting if you're looking for an extravagant evening in the Big Apple.

Water-Based Venues

Cruise ships, small riverboat charter yachts and boats make excellent venues for outdoor parties. Cruising along a river all night long while your guests enjoy the festivities makes for an interesting party. Consider the size of the party when choosing your location. Many marinas offer boat rentals for parties, and they usually charge by the hour. If you don't live near a marina, research other cities in your county that might be located near a lake or river.
