Wasaga Beach is a town in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. The town had a population of 15,029 in the 2006 Canadian Census, but that number increases dramatically when tourism is factored in. Wasaga Beach is a a popular year-round tourist destination, located on Nottawasaga Bay, with its white sandy beaches, and at the southern end of Georgian Bay. It is roughly two hours north of Toronto. In the summer, the beach and parks are open to swimmers and sunbathers, while in the winter, there are miles of trails for snowmobiling. Whatever the reason for visiting, take comfort in knowing that Wasaga Beach has many opportunities for accommodations.

Chrissie's Cabins, previously known as Boyer Cottage Court, offers a selection of 10 cabins. They range from a studio unit to a one- or two-bedroom guesthouse. The cabins are located by the beach, and sit next to the Nottawasaga River, with the larger, more popular, main beach being just a 10-minute walk away. Each cabin comes equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, dishes, pots and pans, cutlery and television. Unfortunately, the television has no cable, but you can rent VCRs from the main office. Linens and towels are not included in your stay.

Mermaid Motel & Cottage Court
The Mermaid Motel and Cottage Court is a family owned and operated establishment that is located only a block from the beach. The establishment offers quiet motel rooms, two- or three-bedroom cottages, or two-bedroom condos with a gas fireplace. The motel rooms come equipped with personal heat and air-conditioning controls, a cable television with remote, a small refrigerator, free in-room coffee, and a kitchenette (in certain rooms, upon request). The cottages include all of that, but instead of a kitchenette, they offer a a full kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, dishes, cookware and a coffeemaker. Deluxe cabins have their own personal decks and Jacuzzis. There is also full linen service every day, and towel exchange.

Birch Haven by the Beach
The Birch Haven by the Beach establishment offers only cabins for travelers or families looking to have a fun vacation. The site includes a sandbox for the kids, and is only a five-minute walk to the beach. If you plan on visiting in the winter, the resort offers a heated garage to wax your skis. Each of their units has a fully equipped kitchen, which comes with a full-sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, and other appliances, such as a coffeemaker and a toaster. Dishes and cookware/silverware are supplied as well. Each unit has its own private bathroom, color television, gas BBQ, ceiling fan and picnic table. If you want to stay connected to business, ask for the Internet, as it is available upon request. If you come in the summer months, air conditioning is available, but there is an extra cost involved.
