When thinking of kid-friendly vacation spots on the East Coast, many automatically think of Disney World. Nickelodeon Family Suites is a resort designed especially with kids in mind. All suites come with a kids' bedroom decorated with familiar TV characters. Kids can have a day of relaxation at the Kid's Spa. Adults can also get spa treatments there as well. Take a trip to Burlington, Vermont, area to visit the Vermont Teddy Bear Company and Shelburne Farms. Shelburne Farms features a large educational center and frequently hosts educational programs where kids can learn more about farming and where there food comes from. Tour the property and visit grass-fed cows, a dairy and milking parlor, cheese making facility and barn with animals. Vermont Teddy Bear Company is close to the farm and provides factory tours where you can watch your bears being created. Be sure to spend a relaxing day on the beaches of Lake Champlain as well.
