Family Reunion
When planning a family reunion, provide some sort of party favor for guests to remember the special day. Some items fit nicely into a scrapbook while others may adorn a shelf. Still others can be used by your guests, who will remember the reunion each time the items are used. There are many ideas for making or buying reunion party favors that suit any budget. Edible Gifts
While edible gifts can't be displayed after they're eaten, the containers or the attached tags or ribbons can be placed in a scrapbook or photo album. Fill a coffee mug with chocolate treats, tea bags or hot-chocolate packets. If desired, paint the mug with enamel paints.
Another idea is to fill a small basket with similar foods. Either paint your family surname on the basket or attach a tag with the reunion name and date. If you have a family crest, try baking cookies in the shape of the crest and decorate with icing. Wrap in cellophane and attach a tag with the pertinent information.
Wearable Gifts
Personalized T-shirts or baseball caps give guests something to wear for years to come, as well as something to wear to an informal reunion party. Purchase white or solid-colored T-shirts or baseball caps. Use fabric paints or markers to decorate them. Write the name and date of your family reunion or draw a picture of the family crest, if you have one. If possible, gather several people together in the days before the reunion to work on these.
Personalized Gifts
There are several items that can be personalized by an outside company and distributed to guests. Some examples of these items are pens, key chains and calendars. Another idea is to distribute a disposable camera and a small personalized photo album to each guest or family group. Create and print out programs for the family reunion, or make one copy and have it duplicated at a copy shop. Include the names of family members, a timeline of activities and a family tree.
