Maui by the Sea Vacation Cottage
Maui by the Sea offers 500 square feet of oceanfront living on Maui's North Shore. Located on the far eastern edge of Paia almost to Ho'okipa, this two-story property offers living quarters on the upstairs level and an open garage below. An ocean-side lanai offers panoramic views of the Pacific.
The backyard leads down to the water's edge which is rather rocky right in front of the property. Walk another 200 yards and you'll find a nice sandy beach. The cottage is surrounded by a tropical garden with palms, bamboo, ginger blossoms, heliconias and assorted fruit trees. The queen sized bed, in a separate bedroom, is draped with a Hawaiian quilt and the unit has a full bath and kitchen.
Restaurants, dining, shopping and a health food store are just a few blocks away. It is a two-mile drive to the famous wind surfing beach of Ho'okipa.

Makena Oceanfront Cottage
The beach in front of this oceanfront cottage may be rocky, but the fact that it offers some of the best snorkeling on the island makes up for it--so does the hot tub on the private lanai facing the ocean. During whale watching season, November to March, you can laze about in that hot tub while watching the humpback whales as they splash about in their winter home. Year round that view includes the nearby islands of Lanai, Kaho'olawe and the sunken crater Molokini, a favored snorkeling locale.
The 40-year old property has been completely refurbished and offers two bedrooms, full kitchen, TVs with DVD players in the front room and the back bedroom, washer/dryer, internet access, luggage and golf club storage, wireless access and a security system that you can activate when you wish. The cottage has both ceiling fans and A/C with remote control in both bedrooms.
Makena is located south of Kihei and is 18 miles from Kahului Airport via Highways 380, 311 and 31. The exact address is provided to clients along with rental information.
