Stay at an Orlando resort during your Disney World vacation.
Walt Disney World may be a dream vacation destination for many families worldwide, but even the most passionate Disneyphile needs to take a relaxing day off from the parks sometimes. Many resorts near Disney in Orlando are less expensive than hotels on site, so that you can afford two or three more days of vacation. Whether you like sitting around a pool with a book or crave video arcades and movies, choose a resort that will entertain your family when you're not in Disney World.
Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort
The Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort is a traditional resort hotel with a twist. Most of the rooms offer KidSuites, which are separate children's sleeping areas in each hotel room, for family privacy. Children can enjoy the video arcade and poolside games, while the whole family can attend the "dive-in" movies shown around the pool on Saturday nights. The resort offers a restaurant with full buffet breakfast and full dinners, as well as a convenience store for snacks and a lounge for adult relaxation. In September 2010, Applebee's will add to the variety with food morning until night, will offer a poolside bar in warm weather. The resort is 1/2 mile from Walt Disney World, and room rates for KidSuites are about $80 per night in 2010.
