As SpongeBob SquarePants, you defend your giant sandcastle against Patrick.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Sandcastle Hassle is an online game provided by Nick.com, and is made primarily for children who are fans of the SpongeBob cartoons, a mainstay on the network for most of the past decade. In this game, must control SpongeBob as he stops his best friend, Patrick, from invading his massive sandcastle. Cheat codes and tips for the game are difficult or impossible to find. The best way to advance in the game is with repeated practice.
Object of the Game
Playing as SpongeBob SquarePants in a giant sandcastle, you will catch sand falling from the sky in a bucket and use the sand to destroy the sand-constructs that are trying to get into the castle. You need to dump the sand onto the ground to create sandmen to defend your castle from Patrick's attackers.
Playing the Game
The game is easiest played with the mouse, unless you are proficient with the touch pad on the laptop. When the game starts, you will see sand falling from the sky like raindrops. SpongeBob will be in the large sand castle on the right and Patrick's sand creatures will come from the left. Use the mouse to move the bucket around to catch the falling sand and when the bucket glows, dump it on the attackers.
Defending the Castle
As evidenced from game play, when the bucket glows blue, sand is ready to be dropped. To drop the sand, left click on your PC mouse pad to drop sand on the attackers. You can do this one of two ways. You can drop the sand onto the unicorns and bulls that are attacking and the creature and your sand pile will fall to the sand, or you can drop sand in front of the castle in an unoccupied space and create knights with shields and swords who will stop the creatures at the cost of their own "lives," leaving you to create more soldiers.
Repairing the Castle
Game play proves you can do more with the sand and bucket than merely destroy the sand bulls, unicorns and giants that come to knock down your sand castle. While it is helpful to destroy the creatures, the sand bucket can also be used to repair the castle. Simply collect the sand as you've been doing and drag the bucket to the castle until you see a red wrench. Then left click and pour sand on the castle to repair it to full strength. There is a price to pay, though. While you're repairing the castle -- unless you're fast enough -- the creatures might get through and hit the castle, undoing the repair work you just did.
Waves
As you play the game, you'll notice there are various levels, or "waves." As you pass each wave, the enemies will come at you faster, making it more difficult to defend your castle.
