The aquatic colors associated with the Nickelodeon animated series Spongebob Squarepants provides much to draw on for decorating a party. If your little one wants to have a Spongebob-themed birthday party this year, you can incorporate the hues and characters from the show into the party atmosphere. Does this Spark an idea?
Balloons and Streamers
Purchase small yellow and blue balloons for the party, as these are some of the main colors associated with Spongebob. Use large Mylar balloons in the shape of Spongebob, as well as other characters like Squidward and Patrick, and place these in the corners of the room. Drape brown and red streamers around the tables and across the walls (the colors of Spongebob's pants and tie).
Table Decorations
Attach small yellow and brown balloons to sturdy straws and place them in a large mug with an image of Spongebob to use as a table centerpiece. Or, use a pineapple for the table centerpiece; cut a few pieces of pineapple from the top to serve to guests, and adorn the centerpiece with small paper cutouts of Spongebob characters.
Wall Decor
Print out images of Spongebob and Bikini Bottom from online, and tape them to the wall to serve as party posters. Or, purchase bright yellow poster board to attach to the walls, and add Spongebob stickers to the poster, along with strips of green construction paper to represent seaweed.
