Luau Table Centerpiece Ideas

Use tropical flowers to create a beautiful centerpiece.

Making a luau centerpiece requires a bit of time and some creativity. You can have these made or make them yourself, depending on your expertise and how handy you are. For example, some require culinary expertise and others floral. You will need to decide which is more appropriate for the party that you are throwing.

Pig

If you are having a very traditional luau, then you will roast a pig. Once the pig is roasted, it becomes your centerpiece. Put pineapples circles on it where the eyes are and scattered at random on the body. Put the pig on palm fronds and scatter other fruits, such as pieces of watermelon and guava, around it. While it is a roasted pig, it can still be a centerpiece.

Tropical Bouquet

A tropical bouquet is another option for a luau centerpiece. Use tropical flowers such as bird of paradise and hibiscus. These flowers are bright and vivid so they are a great addition to any luau. They are typically tall flowers, so use tall glass vases or bright, colorful vases. You can also fill a small glass bowl with water and put the blooms on top so that they float around.

Fruit

A fruit bowl makes a lovely luau centerpiece. This can either be a fruit salad you are all going to end up eating, or just a fruit arrangement. If you are arranging fruits, use lots of pineapples, guavas, mangoes and cherries. These are all fruits that complement the food you are eating and are found in Hawaiian climates.
