Ship & Ports of Call
NCL's Pride of America offers seven-day round trips from Honolulu year round. The ship visits Kauai, Hilo, Maui (Kahului) and Kona. The ship was launched in 2005, weighs 81,000 tons and can accommodate more than 2,100 passengers. Along with the main dining room, the ship features five other restaurants, a champagne bar and a Hawaiian Cultural Center. There also are several pools, a spa and a fitness center.
Kauai
Kauai, often referred to as the green island, offers a lush landscape of mountains, rain forests, high cliffs and spectacular waterfalls. Some of the most popular attractions are Waimea Canyon, Fern Grotto and Sprouting Horn. NCL offers 32 different shore excursions on Kauai, including a luau, helicopter ride, mountain trek, snorkeling and surfing.
Hilo
Hilo is the home of Mount Kilauea, a large active volcano; and Alaska Falls, a waterfall of more than 400 feet. There are 21 NCL excursions in Hilo, including a visit to Volcanoes National Park, a natural lava lagoon, the Mauna Kea observatory, and the famous black sand beach.
Maui
Maui offers spectacular scenery and some of the world's best beaches. There are 33 shore excursions available, including a trip to Haleakala Crater, the top of the world's biggest dormant volcano. Whale watching, snorkeling, rain forest hikes, visits to waterfalls, and other relaxing trips are available.
Kona
Kona is the home to the Captain Cook Monument and beautiful tidal pools. It features 24 NCL excursions, including a tour of the historic attractions; and several water related activities, including rafting, a submarine trip, a glass-bottomed boat ride, deep sea fishing, and a visit to a seahorse farm.
