Top Luxury Family Beach Vacations

Luxury beach resorts provide guests with a wide array of amenities.

Luxury family beach resorts typically offer a variety of on-site activities and attractions for every age, dining options with kid-friendly menus and guest room types, depending on your lodging needs. Plus, the miles of warm sandy beaches are sure to please young and old alike. Typical resort activities include traditional sports like tennis and golf, and range to the more kid friendly, like swimming with dolphins and water rides. Most such resorts offer specially-designed children's activities and camps or even sitter services. The restaurants at these resorts vary in cuisine and price, making it easy for families to find meal options to fit every taste and stay within their budget.

Atlantis, Paradise Island

The Atlantis Resort and Hotel offers a multitude of family-friendly activities, events, accommodations and dining options. Located on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, the resort is surrounded by expansive stretches of beach. For guests needing a break from the Bahamian beaches, the Atlantis resort is home to 11 swimming pools, spread out throughout the property.

If they're not participating in the specially-designed activities, kids will enjoy the water rides and slides, one of which goes through the middle of a shark tank, and the river rides. The Atlantis Kids Adventures (AKA) and activities for toddlers, kids and preteens, offer fun targeted to every young person. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy rock climbing, snorkeling or just a leisurely swim in the pool. Later, the entire family can get together and enjoy swimming with dolphins and sea lions. In room babysitting services are also available by trained caregivers.

Both casual and fine dining options are available at the resort. Fine dining restaurants include Nobu, Mesa Grill and Cafe Martinique. Casual dining options include several pool- and beach-side cafes, a deli and low-key, full-service restaurants. Dining plans are available for guests, although not required to be served at any of the restaurants at the resort.
