"Nancy Drew The White Wolf Of Icicle Creek" Game Hints

Nancy Drew, the well-loved girl detective, is the star of her own set of computer games. In "Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek," she tries to help the owner of a lodge in the Canadian Rockies solve the mystery of several recent accidents. Become a detective, follow the clues Nancy finds and solve the mystery yourself. If you get stumped, use a few hints to get back on track.

General Hints

You'll need to keep your eye on the clock; Nancy has chores to do specific times, and she should not be outside after dark. If you need it to be a different time, go to your room and go to sleep. Then move the hour hand to the time you want it to be. Because of the extreme cold of Nancy's location, sometimes the game won't allow her to go outside, or she'll freeze to death. Check the gauge by the door to see if it's safe. Nancy also has a cold meter at the top of the screen. Check it when she's outside and get back inside before it's too late.

Trapper Dan's Hut

If you have read the diary, you will see a wolf when you are outside of Trapper Dan's hut. Point the cursor at the wolf and a speech bubble will appear. When you click the wolf, Nancy says the wolf's name, gleaned from the diary, and now the wolf will pose no threat. McQuade's diary told Nancy that Isis, the wolf, has two useful traits: She can compare scents and carry out complicated instructions. She'll be there when you need her just by clicking her, telling her what to do and clicking "Go."

Trapper Dan's Tunnel

The tunnel described in Trapper Dan's journal is the place you have wanted to get to since you saw the portion of nylon caught in the door of the Needle. The entrance to the tunnel is through the locked door in the hut. You'll see a bone-shaped imprint in the wall; to open the door, put the bone you found with the paleontologist in the imprint. When you climb the ladder in the corner of the main room, the left fork takes you to a locked door on which are four small animal panels. Insert the four animal counters in the round slots to open the door.

The Final Chase

In the final chase scene, the villain will try to escape. Grab the snowmobile and give chase. The mouse points you in the direction you want to go; the left button is the gas. When the villain swerves, keep your snowmobile straight, and you'll be able to catch up. Try to stay as close as you can and follow the arrow. You may lose sight of him, but just keep searching. The villain will eventually get into his own trouble, so you don't ever have to completely overtake him. It may take a while for this to happen -- be patient.
