Balloons are one party supply to purchase.
Watching your child reach a milestone is one of the joys of parenthood, even if it is a bittersweet moment for you. Your child's second birthday is a milestone that he will reach only once in his life, but one that you may remember for the rest of yours. Does this Spark an idea?
Candle
A No. 2-shaped candle is a must for the occasion. Although this will only be used for a few minutes, the candle makes a better keepsake than regular stick candles. Plus, your child will be able to blow out one candle easier than two.
Streamers
Streamers will help make the room colorful and bright. Choose streamers with the number two on them or purchase two or three of your child's favorite colors. Ideally, streamers should match the color theme of the other party supplies. Hang them along each wall, spiral them diagonally across the room, and wrap them around table legs.
Paper Plates
Paper plates, cups and napkins are important party supplies if you are having a party at a park, rented hall or even at home, in order to cut down on the after-party dish washing. Plates should ideally be decorated with the number two and match streamers or other decorations. Plastic silverware is an important accessory for paper plates as well.
Balloons
While your 2-year-old may not notice other decorations, like streamers and decorative table cloths, she is sure to love the balloons. Balloons should be one or two solid colors that match other decorations, with a few white balloons that are decorated with the number two. Ideally, balloons should be filled with helium and grouped into a batch of five or six. Try for a ratio of 2:2:2, or two balloons of one solid color, two balloons of another solid color and two white balloons decorated with the number two. Groups of balloons can then be tied to railings, the mailbox, trees and other steady objects.
