Military Lodging In Washington

The United States Navy offers military lodging in the state of Washington.


Citizens who have proudly served in the United States Armed Forces may be entitled to lodging at military installations when traveling. There are several accommodations in the state of Washington for veterans to enjoy, whether they are visiting for business or pleasure.


Hotels


There are five military installations with guest hotels. Four of these are located near Puget Sound with the fifth being in the eastern part of the state.


Cabins


The United States Navy offers cabins in two locations in the state of Washington, Pacific Beach and Jim Creek Wilderness center. These cabins sleep four to six persons comfortably.


Who May Stay?


Active-duty military and their dependents along with military retirees and Department of Defense civilian employees may stay in Washington military lodging. Active-duty service members who are on official travel orders have first priority for lodging.


Reservations


Reservations for Washington military lodging should be made at least six months in advance. Travelers should also call to confirm their reservation one week prior to their visit.


Amenities


Military lodging in Washington usually consists of a queen bed, television with cable and private bathroom. Wireless Internet access is also available in most locations.


Pets


Pets are generally not allowed in military lodging in the state of Washington. The post commander may allow pets in select units if he deems it appropriate for the morale of service members.
