Graduate Celebrating
Graduation is an important milestone in a person's life and should be celebrated in a wonderful way. If you are the type of person that is inspired to do things in a unique way, then your graduation party should reflect that. The party can be based off your personality, such as a pool party for those who want to have fun or a tea party for those who enjoy a good conversation and a quiet evening.
Pool Party
Instead of a regular party, throw a pool party. Rent the local pool for a few hours and ask guests to bring their swimsuits. Throw in a bunch of inflatable toys, noodles and balls for the children and adults to play with in the water. The nice thing about pool parties is that the water itself is all the entertainment you need. Bring along a net if you want to play water volleyball. Be sure to provide food and drinks for your guests. Order pizza and have ice chests of cola available. Use a boom box to play music for your guests as everyone swims and has a good time.
Casino Night
Add some excitement to your graduation party with a fake casino night. Set up several tables with dealers, cards and poker chips. Ask family members to be the dealers or to take turns so that everyone can have a chance to play some games. Be sure to remind guests that the earnings aren't real and it is all for some fun, to celebrate the graduate's big day. You can even have areas of board games for the kids such as Candyland or Monopoly. Set up a bar in the back with drinks of your choice. For a Vegas feel, use colorful lights as decoration.
Tea Party
A tea party is a sophisticated way to bring together friends, family and mentors who have been supportive of you along the way of your college career. While tea parties work best in smaller settings where everyone can get to know each other at the table, it will also work with several tables or one really long one to accommodate everyone. Be sure to have several types of teas available, from black tea to herbal varieties. It might even be a good idea to serve iced tea. Complement the drinks with appetizers such as scones, finger sandwiches and croissants.
