What Are The First Trimester Pregnancy Symptoms

During your first trimester of pregnancy, you may experience a multitude of side effects as your body changes. These symptoms are identified along with ways to help alleviate them.

Identification

While your pregnancy often goes unnoticed to the rest of the world during your first trimester, you may experience various pregnancy cravings and symptoms.

Fatigue

Do you find that you're having trouble staying awake? As your body produces progesterone, it can have a sedative effect. Exercise can help stave off fatigue. Try to go to bed earlier and nap when possible.

Morning Sickness

Morning sickness is a misnomer, as it can occur during any time of the day. To minimize nausea and vomiting, eat smaller meals throughout the day. Ginger can also soothe upset stomachs.

Frequent Urination

Although your baby isn't much bigger than a sesame seed, your uterus is expanding and putting pressure on your bladder. Therefore, you may find yourself urinating more frequently. Go when necessary to avoid urinary tract infections.

Sore Breasts

Sore breasts can be a common side effect, as your body is preparing itself to nurse once your baby is born. To ease the pain, purchase larger bras or a cotton sleep bra if you're unable to rest comfortably.

Food Cravings and Aversions

There's a good chance that you may find yourself craving some foods while detesting others. Try to limit such unhealthy choices and ice cream and potato chips. If milk no longer sounds appealing, seek foods rich in calcium like cheese or yogurt.
