What To Say On A Luau Birthday Party Invitation

Luaus make for fun parties.

People will always enjoy a bright and tropical luau party, especially if it is held outdoors during the warmer part of the year. Invitations for a luau birthday party should include a few different types of information that guests need to know. Does this Spark an idea?

Basic Information

The top of the invitation should alert guests to the nature of the party. For instance, start with, "You're invited to a luau party to celebrate Billy's 9th birthday!" Below, include specific information, such as the time, date, location and RSVP contact information.

Attire

A luau birthday party invitation should alert guests as to whether they need to wear anything in particular. The invitation could say, "Wear your most outrageous Hawaiian outfit," or "Bring a swimsuit and towel if you want to jump in the pool."

Food

Especially if the time of the party leaves guests guessing about whether a meal will be served, mention what kind of food guests can expect so they know whether to eat before the party. For instance, state in the invitation to "Bring your appetite for a luau feast" if you're planning a full meal, or "We'll be enjoying tropical smoothies and cake," if you plan to serve snacks only.
