Sparco Badge Holders are plastic badge holders that will hold 3-inch-by-4-inch badges. If you are using Microsoft Word 6.0, you can create and print badges using these dimensions. Microsoft Word 6.0 is an older version of Word, used in Windows 3.1. The badges can be used to list people's names, occupations or any other information that you can fit on them.

1. Open Microsoft Word 6.0 by clicking double-clicking "Applications" in the "Program Manager." (The Program Manager launches automatically when Windows 3.1 loads). Double-click "Microsoft Word."

2. Insert an empty table into your blank document. Click the "Table" menu option and select the number of two columns and and the number of rows for the table. You will create a table that include two badges per row.

3. Adjust the width so that each badge measures three inches across. For example, to adjust the column width, place the cursor in the column to be adjusted. Drag the two "T's" (located on the ruler to the left-side of the ruler line) until they are three inches apart.

4. Adjust the row height so that each badge measures four inches in height. Place your cursor inside the first box and press "Enter" to increase that row height. Repeat this step for each row.

5. Type in the badge content, such as a name in each badge. After each name is types in, press "CTRL" and "A" to select all of the entered text. Center the text by clicking the "Center" align button on the menu bar. Change the font and font size, if desired, by adjusting these settings in the menu bar at the top of the program window.

6. Click "File" and "Save As" to save the badges you just created, if desired. Enter a file name and click "Save." Click "File" and Print" to print the badges. The printer must be connected and powered on.
