SpongeBob Squarpants Cupcake Pants and Face
Place cupcakes in a square and decorate them to look like SpongeBob's face using yellow icing. To give more character to the face, try using cookies for SpongeBob's eyes and black rope licorice candy for the mouth. Also, try to decorate the cupcakes as SpongeBob's pants using brown icing and black rope licorice candy to outline the belt.
Cupcake Bikini Bottom
Decorate cupcakes in SpongeBob's underwater home with the town of Bikini Bottom. Use blue icing for the cupcakes to represent the water. Try stacking gumdrops using toothpicks to hold them together to represent the different Bikini Bottom buildings.
Patrick Star
Use the cupcakes to form a starfish for SpongeBob's best friend Patrick Star. Using pink icing for the primary color of Patrick, try using cookies or small chocolate-covered mints to make Patrick's eyes. Black rope licorice candy works well in forming the mouth.
Cupcake Krabby Patty
Everyone in Bikini Bottom enjoys a Krabby Patty. Arrange the cupcake to look like one of these underwater patties. Use icing in the colors of the Krabby Patty, yellow, green, red, and brown to decorate the cupcakes. You may want six to eight of each color. Line up the cupcakes so that they form the picture of a Krabby Patty. For added dimension, try using white sprinkles to represent sesame seeds on the "bun" sections of the Krabby Patty.
Edible Cake Images and Cake Toppers
Many party supply stores have edible cake images or cake toppers that work the same as on a traditional cake. If creativity isn't your strong point the images or toppers are the way to go. SpongeBob Squarepants themed toppers or images are available at most party stores.
