Which Tomato Is Meatiest To Grow

Beefsteak tomatoes are a meaty favorite with many varieties to choose from.

When it comes to the meatiest tomato, some may laud the qualities of the Prairie Fire for an early grower, the Amish Paste for a meaty Roma size tomato, or the Surefire, Sugar Lump or Northern Exposure. However, in terms of a strain with an abundance of meaty varieties to choose from, it's hard to dispute giving the title to the almighty beefsteak. Slice one, dice one, can a crop to use in tomato sauces all year long. Once you get into growing beefsteaks you may ask yourself how there can be so many mighty and meaty beefsteak tomatoes and so little time to enjoy them all. Does this Spark an idea?

The German giant is as abundant in its crop production as it is in meatiness. Your tomato garden will be filled with a bounty of 2-lb., striking, pinkish-red beauties. The flavor will be rich, sweet, perfect for sauces and slicing.
