Wisconsin Dells is a small city in Wisconsin that is home to a variety of outdoor activities and is best known for housing multiple indoor and outdoor water parks. Two state parks in the area, Mirror Lake State Park and Devil's Lake State Park, are suited for cross-country skiing.

Devil's Head Resort
Twenty-three miles to the south of Wisconsin Dells lies the town of Merrimac. Located adjacent to Devil's Lake State Park, the area offers cross-country skiing in the scenic Wisconsin area. Devil's Head Resort is both a conference facility and resort. The resort is located less than two miles from cross-country skiing trails located in the state-run park. Both traditional style lodge rooms and condominiums are available for rent. Guest lodging options range in size from a one-bedroom lodge room to a two-bedroom condo.
