Rhyolite, Nevada
While once a prosperous town outside of Las Vegas; Rhyolite is now considered a ghost town where artists and sculptors display their creative works. This two-mile strip of land in the dessert offers several one-of-a-kind sculptures including "The Last Supper" and "Bicycle and Ghost". "Penguin and Prospector" is the first sculpture that is adjacent to "The Gateway to Death Valley". There is also a stunning 25-foot tall woman built from cinder blocks and named "Lady Desert: The Venus of Nevada". Sculptures such as "Desert Flower" were first building in 1985 and have since been restored. In 1906, Tom Kelly's Bottle House was constructed as another lasting monument in Rhyolite. This hose was made of 30,000 bottles and preserved in 2005. The area is also believed to be haunted with several spirits.
