Three Little Pigs Birthday Party Decorations

Three Little Pigs Birthday Party Decorations

The classic story of "The Three Little Pigs" makes a charming birthday party theme for young boys and girls. Take inspiration from the main components of the story to create whimsical decorations. Does this Spark an idea?

The Three Houses

Set up a trio of decorative carts stuffed with the building materials that the three little pigs used to build their houses. Fill one with hay, another with twigs and the third with building blocks, which will be more feasible for your kids party decorations than actual bricks.

Build and display a small Lego house, a craft stick house and a straw house together on a table top.

Decorate a large appliance box as a brick play house.

Go Pink

In most picture books, the three little pigs are colored pink. Reflect their identifying color throughout the party space with touches such as a pink bandanna draped across a hay bale, which can also double as extra seating. Bundle pink helium balloons into groups of three. Make and hang pink paper mache pigs from the ceiling or stand them in a corner. Buy or borrow stuffed, wooden and plastic toy pigs to arrange throughout the party space.

Blow Your House Down

Virtually all children go wide-eyed when they first hear about the Big Bad Wolf blowing down the first two little pigs' houses. Reflect that part of the story in your decorations with yellow and brown streamers attached to a ceiling fan turned on low. Scatter twigs and hay across a table for a wind-swept look.

Big and Bad

A "Three Little Pigs" party just wouldn't be complete without a touch of the Big Bad Wolf. Place a cardboard wolf face in a window, cover furniture with gray or brown material and paint wolf prints across a paper tablecloth to incorporate the wolf into the decor.
