Onsite Disney World Hotels

Enjoy your stay at a Disney World hotel.


Travelers to the Walt Disney World theme parks near Orlando, Florida, will find that the complex offers numerous hotels and resorts designed for every budget and family size. No matter which hotel you book, you will find that staying on site at Disney World keeps the magic going day and night. The Walt Disney Co. operates 24 theme hotels at Disney World. In addition, there also are eight chain hotels on the property. Disney has several "seasons," with the value season (winter) being the least crowded, followed by regular season, summer season, fall season, peak season and holiday season, according to MouseSavers.com.


Disney Value Resort Hotels


Disney World has four resorts designated as value resort hotels--Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, Disney's All-Star Music Resort and Disney's All-Star Sports Resort. With more than 8,000 rooms and suites, each resort features a food court, at least two swimming pools and kids activities. Rooms can have refrigerators and Internet access for an additional fee. Guest have access to free transportation to any part of the Disney World Resort. All rooms are non-smoking and rates are seasonal.

Disney Moderate Resort Hotels


Disney World has five themed hotels in its moderately priced category--Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter and Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside and the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Each hotel has a main area with food courts, souvenirs and hotel offices. All the resorts have at least two pools unique to the hotel's theme. A mini-fridge and Wi-Fi access are available for an extra fee. Many of the hotels have private lakes with boat rentals, and some offer catch and release fishing. Transportation to other parts of the resort is complimentary and includes buses and boats. Free transportation is available to and from Orlando International Airport.

Disney Deluxe Resorts


Disney has many distinctly themed deluxe resorts. These include Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Villas, the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Beach Club Villas, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge,


Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Yacht Club Resort. Each resort features at least two pools, fitness centers, spas and several upscale restaurants onsite. The deluxe hotels also offer room service and lounges. In addition to amenities found at other Disney hotels, the deluxe resorts have concierge service.

Non-Disney Hotels


Ten hotels on the expansive Disney World property are not owned by the Walt Disney Co. These hotels must adhere to Disney standards. Transportation in and around the resort is complimentary from these hotels. The list includes Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel, Doubletree Guest Suite Resort, Regal Sun Resort, Hilton Walt Disney World, Holiday Inn in the Walt Disney World Resort, Royal Plaza, Buena Vista Palace Resort & Spa, Walt Disney World Dolphin-a Starwood resort and Walt Disney World Swan-a Starwood resort. In addtion there is the Deparment of Defense's Shades of Green hotel, used for vacationing military personnel, both active and retired as well as ttheir families.


Hotels For Five Or More Guests


Large or extended families traveling to Disney World will find that the resort has plenty of accommodations to handle large groups. Often a choice for a wedding or family reunions, the Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort sleeps up to nine and the Deluxe Villa Resort sleeps up to eight guests. Disney's All-Star Music Resort can sleep up to six guests.
