Rio Pinar Country Club
Located in eastern Orlando, the Rio Pinar Country Club (riopinar.com) has been open since 1957. This venue provides views of the Country Club's golf course from the clubhouse ballroom. For banquet events, this room accommodates 170 guests. If the class wants a dance floor, the ballroom only has room for 160 graduates. Small graduating classes can take advantage of the Rio Pinar clubhouse's boardroom, which has a seating capacity of 22 guests. Rio Pinar features a banquet catering service.
Nickelodeon Suites Resort
Southern Orlando's Nickelodeon Suites (nickhotel.com) is a theme resort based on the children's television network. The resort offers a variety of entertainment of parties for middle school and high school graduates. Entertainment includes viewings of "Happy Feet" and "Dora & Diego's 4-D Adventure," as well as improv comedy. Club 9 Lounge caters to teenagers and features dance music and video games. Souvenirs for graduates include "I Got Slimed" t-shirts and a group photo.
Universal Studios
The Universal Studios Resort (universalorlando.com) is right off Interstate 4 in western Orlando, approximately 15 minutes from the city's downtown area. Grad Bash is an annual event for high school seniors hosted at the resort. Activities at Grad Bash include live music shows, access to the theme park's roller coasters and dance parties. Universal Studios observes a dress code for all participating students. Two lounges are available for chaperones.
Mela Room
Mela Room (melaroom.com) is a southern Orlando event space right off Orange Blossom Trail, within 10 minutes of Orlando International Airport. This center accommodates graduation parties of 50 to 1,000 guests, and no time restrictions are enforced. Mela Room amenities include a sound system, dance floor and a stage for live music entertainment. The venue supplies tables and chairs for events. The Mela Room is only available on Fridays and Saturdays.
Florida Hotel and Conference Center
The Florida Hotel (thefloridahotelorlando.com) is adjacent to the Florida Mall and features a 50,000 square-foot conference center. The conference center has two large ballrooms, Heroes and Legends. The Heroes Ballroom accommodates 1,200 guests for stand-up receptions, while 1,500 guests are able to attend receptions in the Legends Ballroom. Both of these ballrooms have sound systems and video media equipment, including projection screens and large-screen televisions. The Florida Hotel provides catering services for events in the ballrooms.
