Military Resorts In Washington State

The state of Washington lies in the northwestern corner of the U.S. along the Pacific coast, bordering Vancouver, Canada. Seattle is a major city and a commercial hub. Microsoft's headquarters are also in the state, in the city of Redmond. The state houses some major military facilities including shipyards, training centers, air force bases and naval stations as well as military resorts.


Pacific Beach Resort and Conference Center


This Everett Naval Station resort is situated on a bluff, with a view of the coast. Guests enjoy access to hot tubs/saunas, a restaurant serving all meals, a conference center, lounge, fitness center, marina, children's playground, picnic area, game room, video rentals, a full bar and a business center. There are cottages with fully-equipped kitchens and bathrooms, laundry and showers, as well as RV parking with access to electricity, water and sewer. Free Wi-Fi is also provided to guests in the lobby. Up to two pets are allowed.

Clear Lake Recreation Area


This Fairchild Air Force Base facility is located in Cheney in the eastern portion of Washington and is open mid-April through mid-September. Wi-Fi access is available for free in the lodge; other amenities include a playground, boat ramp, marina, boat rentals, fishing, picnic area and tent camping. There are cabins available as well as RV sites with electricity, sewer and water access.

Fort Lewis Travel Camp and RV Park


Located just south of Tacoma, Washington, the Fort Lewis Travel Camp and RV Park offers cabins as well as RV parking facilities, including small RV rentals to guests who aren't bringing their own RVs. Wi-Fi access is available to all guests. Cabins come with fully-equipped kitchenettes. All cabins have local telephone access and full bathrooms with showers. There is a tennis court, a shop, post office, riding, hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, camping and playground facilities, laundry, gas and beach access. Water sports equipment, watercraft and scuba gear can also be rented. Fishing and hiking opportunities are plentiful in the rich natural site, and the 16 pull-through and 23 back-in sites for RVs are all equipped with hookups for TV, electricity, water and sewer.
