View of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach
Hawaii is a dream come true place to travel for many people. When it comes to a honeymoon, it's hard to go wrong with any choice you make in Hawaii. The best places to honeymoon in Hawaii is The Kahala Hotel for luxury, a private residence in Kailua-Kona for complete peace and Waikiki Beach if you want to party.
The Kahala Hotel
Located on the east side of the island of Oahu, The Kahala Hotel is the lap of luxury. Kahala is one of the richest and most exclusive areas in the world where the rich and famous go to hide out from the world. As a honeymoon destination, you can't beat it if you want to be spoiled and pampered. A perfect day can start off with the resort's breakfast buffet, serving fresh pineapple, mangoes and papaya with banana pancakes. Then take a walk on the private, white sand beach and dive into the Pacific Ocean. The Kahala has one of the most beautiful lagoons around and it's filled with dolphins and sea turtles. You can actually sign up to swim with these dolphins and it is highly recommended. An experience few honeymooners will ever get to have.
Kailua-Kona
Kailua-Kona is located on The Big Island of Hawaii, an island the size of Texas with less than 100,000 people living on it. Kailua-Kona has many private estates available for short term rentals that can provide the utmost of privacy for a honeymooning couple. The Big Island is one of the most diverse islands out of the Hawaii island chain. You can see a volcano flowing with lava just below your feet or take a winding drive to the Seven Sacred Pools where the monarchy of Hawaii bathed. End the day with a swim off Hapuna Beach while watching the sun set.
Waikiki Beach
If your idea of a honeymoon is to have a good party, then you can't beat Waikiki Beach. Honolulu has one of the most unique zoos right in the middle of Waikiki. It's not the animals that make it unique, it's the gigantic banyan trees one can swing on like a monkey while surrounded by beautiful peacocks. It's a rare honeymoon photo to be swinging from a 200-year-old tree being chased by non-flying birds. The party starts early with happy hours on Kuhio Avenue while the higher end hotels and nightclubs on Kalakaua Avenue pick up after the happy hours finish. Have a Lava Float on the beach and kiss your beloved all night.
