The Best Hawaii All Inclusives

Enjoy the beach on Maui, Hawaii.

Hawaii travel can be expensive because importing food to the islands adds extra costs. All-inclusive resorts let you keep a lid on travel expenses. Although most Hawaiian resorts don't routinely offer all-inclusive packages, many will offer special packages that include food and/or activities. Keep in mind that if you are on your honeymoon, family-friendly resorts with supervised children's programs may not offer a romantic enough experience.

Kona Village Resort

Kona Village Resort on the big island of Hawaii is on the Kohala Coast in Kailua Kona. The luxury resort includes three meals daily and many activities. Complimentary water sports include sailing, windsurfing, boogie boards, stand-up paddleboards, kayaking and snorkeling.

A daily supervised children's program for ages 5 to 12, includes Hawaiian crafts, pool visits and ball games. The three daily meals include a Hawaiian Luau on Wednesday and Friday nights and a cowboy barbecue on Tuesday nights.

The Four Seasons Resort at Wailea

The luxury Four Seasons Resort at Wailea on Maui has a special package with a $200 daily resort credit, for meals and/or spa treatments, as of February 2011. All guests at the resort can take free daily fitness classes, including yoga on the beach, Pilates and tai chi, and use cabanas and beach umbrellas for free.

The resort also includes a free Outrigger canoe program teaching Hawaiian-style paddling. The supervised Kids For All Seasons for ages 5 to 12 is a free full-day children's program. The Four Seasons provides free coffee and tea in the morning, and ice water and fresh fruit by the pool.

Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa

The Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa in Maui has a Grand Family Adventure, which includes breakfast, plus a $100 daily food credit for other food. The package also includes tickets to the nearby family-friendly Maui Ocean Center, an aquarium.

Free daily activities include yoga classes, scuba clinics, and art and garden tours. The resort offers free use of beach umbrellas. An activity pool features a water elevator, slides, a swing rope and a water canyon.

Halekulani Hotel

Halekulani Hotel on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu has an all-inclusive package with breakfast, dinner and round-trip airport transportation. The hotel does not have a children's program, so it is more suitable for honeymooners.

The full-service spa with couples' suites offers massages, body and facial therapies. Halekulani contains three restaurants, a state-of-the-art fitness center and a fresh water pool overlooking the beach.
