Princeville is located on the North Shore of Hawaii, famous for its big waves.
Once the site of a large coffee plantation, Princeville is the largest planned community in Hawaii. Princeville has three beaches, Pu'u Poa, Kenomene Beach and Kaweonui Beach, which are surrounded by a reef. The town is small but within driving distance of many sights and attractions and is considered the gateway to the North Shore. Princeville is also home to a variety of restaurants.
Bar Acuda
Bar Acuda is a tapas and wine bar located just outside Princeville on the Kuhio Highway. The restaurant menu was inspired by the chef and owner John Moffat's travels throughout Europe. He brought back a passion for Mediterranean cooking, but with local Hawaiian ingredients. The decor is full of rich wood and muted earth tones, lit by candlelight and full of modern glassware with stainless steel accents. The menu runs the gamut from beef skewers to bacalao, all complemented by the extensive wine list. The restaurant dress code is upscale casual, but the atmosphere is laid-back and the restaurant prides itself on its guests having a good time.
