Walt Disney World
Dining at Walt Disney World can be a part of the magical experience. World-class restaurants are found in the parks, in the hotels and in the Downtown Disney area. For an idea what the menus hold, visit WDW Magic Menus (see Resources). The restaurants and the menus may change from time to time, but you can always expect great food, good service and that special Disney touch.
Reservations
Make reservations for all full-service restaurants, character meals and special event dining. Phone (407) 939-3463 up to 90 days before your trip, or make your reservations online. You'll also need to call the same number to make arrangements for special dietary needs or to accommodate guests with food allergies. If you forgot to make a reservation, or just didn't know which full-service restaurant you wanted, you can try to make a reservation at the park. You might have luck if you pick a non-traditional mealtime (for example, 4 pm).
Quick Service
Many people don't want to take the time out of their day to sit down at a full-service restaurant. For a quicker meal in the Magic Kingdom, try The Pinocchio Village Haus or Cosmic Ray's Starlight Caf . The themed lands in Epcot have many opportunities to sample food from around the world. You can grab a bite at Studios Catering Co. or Backlot Express at Disney's Hollywood Studios. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, try Pizzafari or Restaurantosaurus.
Character Dining
A fun way to spend some time with the Disney characters is to have a meal with them. Character dining is very popular, and highly recommended. A complete list of character dining experiences is available on the official website, including a hint of which characters might be appearing. The most popular character meal is Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom, which means it's difficult to get reservations for this event. Ninety days before your desired date, at exactly 9 am, call (407) 939-3463 to try to make a reservation. It's better to call than to try to book it yourself online, because the operator knows the system and will do everything possible to secure your first-choice reservation.
If you don't get the reservation, but still want a princess meal, try the Princess Storybook Meal at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot. You won't see Cinderella, but other Disney princesses make appearances. Also note that the character meals at the resort hotels are often easier to get reservations for than those within the parks.
